Like all banks, Citigroup (ticker: C) has faced challenges this year as it has had to contend with a slowing economy and drying up deal activity. But Citigroup bulls have held out hope that while banks face a challenging time, Citigroup can see relative outperformance by continuing to clean up some of the issues that have dogged the company over the last few years.
