Arcimoto eyes a long-term challenge amid steady if limited production
Arcimoto is investing heavily in setting itself up for higher-volume, lower-cost production with a fine-tuned Fun Utility Vehicle platform and an expanded manufacturing plant. An analyst asked that question of CEO Mark Frohnmayer on Tuesday as the Eugene company discussed its third-quarter earnings report, which, among other data points, showed fairly steady if still limited production — 78 vehicles built and 63 sold in the period ended Sept. 30, as noted in an update last month. “Would you do something big like a Super Bowl ad?” the analyst asked.
